National Popcorn Sale
Starting in the months of September-October, Scouts begin collecting Trail’s End popcorn orders, with various types and flavors to choose from. Scouts are able to sell popcorn to friends and family, at door-to-door sales, and at Show-and-Sell events. A substantial portion of the total proceeds flows to Troop 60. This income funds Troop activities throughout the year. In addition, a portion of the money that is sold by a Scout goes back into the Scout’s individual Scout Account to help cover their scouting-related expenses through the year.
Aluminum Can Collection
We collect aluminum cans throughout the year. The money we collect goes into the general fund for Troop expenses. Please save your soda cans and bring them to any Troop meeting. Do not save vegetable cans or other types of cans because they are not acceptable and we get penalized for having mixed aluminum. This is a great fundraiser (in 2008 we sold our entire collection of cans for $787.00).
